
These are so crazy easy! They don’t have a “crispy” waffle texture to them, but the taste is amazing and addictive. My next stop is to try to create a savory waffle with bacon and cheddar. Another project for another day.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup half and half or heavy whipping cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1.5 tsp low carb sweetener of choice
- 2 pinches of salt
- 1/4 cup Sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)
Method:
Preheat waffle iron.
In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients (except for chocolate chips if you choose to use them), and pulse until creamy.
Use a 1/2 cup measure to pour batter onto waffle iron and sprinkle with chocolate chips (optional). Once it starts steaming, check to see if it is golden brown.
Remove from griddle and top with butter and sugar-free maple syrup.
